The hostname "support.nimblestorage.com" (from Nimble Storage Firewall Rules and other documents) can not be resolved anymore:
> support.nimblestorage.com
Server: google-public-dns-a.google.com
Address: 8.8.8.8
*** support.nimblestorage.com cannot be found by google-public-dns-a.google.com: Non-existent domain. (NXDOMAIN)
What am I doint wrong?

SolutionHello,
Ah, the perils of old documents, we no longer use support.nimblestorage.com.
I will refrain from publishing the hostnames and IP's here, to prevent the same question arising in a few years time.
Please see the firewall ports as document in the admin guide here > Nimble Storage InfoSight
Many thanks,
Chris

Re: "support.nimblestorage.com" does not exist anymore?
That was exactly the guide I was following. If 'support.nimblestorage.com' is no longer in use, why is it still listed in the amin guide (you have linked, too)? and if that's no correct, what would be the correct egress SSH host/IP/FQDN?
It says:
Port Number | Service | Protocol | IP Address |
---|---|---|---|
22 TCP | Manual SCP of cores to Nimble | SCP | support.nimblestorage.com |
443 TCP | autosupport, heartbeat | HTTPS | nsdiag.nimblestorage.com |
443 TCP | alerts* | HTTPS | nsalerts.nimblestorage.com |
443 TCP | software downloads | HTTPS | update.nimblestorage.com |
2222 TCP | secure tunnel | SSH | hogan.nimblestorage.com |
4311 TCP | Nimble Protection Manager | SOAP/HTTP | application server IP |

Re: "support.nimblestorage.com" does not exist anymore?
Hello Bjorn,
Thank you for pointing this out, we will correct this, it's no longer used.
We use egress port 2222 for SSH and core collection.
Many thanks,
Chris

Re: "support.nimblestorage.com" does not exist anymore?
How about nsstats.nimblestorage.com?
It's not listed in the above guide, however is listed here: Nimble Storage Firewall Rules.
Can we please get one definitive source?
It's important both to get things correct the first time as well as to make them as concise as possible, especially when you're coordinating across a group of teams.
