Magazine Is Ejecting

This just started. I went to change tapes for the end of month stoprage cycle. The Tape Magazine will load but after the tape unit cycles though its detection of tapes in the magazine. It automatically unloads itself. It does not find the cartridges. There is no labels or stickies in the drive or magazine area. I have blown out all dust. Any ideas on how to correct this. I would appreciate it. I have updated all drivers for the Tape Drive and Autoloader. Robin

What type of Tape drive?
What O/S?
Backup software?
Is the Magazine full of tapes?

Depending on the type of drive you may want to run L&TT (Library and Tape Tools) and update the firmware of the unit - www.hp.com/support/tapetools

How often do you clean the drive? All DAT drives should have a cleaning tape run through the drive on a weekly basis.

Check all the tapes as well. Is there any tape damaged?

Also, if possible, disconnect scsi cable with drive or computer powered off. By this way to find out if the issue is caused by scsi commands sent from scsi controller.
