tape reader not recognized
Hello,
I want to perform an ignite backup by running make_tape_recovery but this fails because the tape reader is not recognized.
With ioscan, I can see it but as Unknown :
10/0/15/0.3 target
10/0/15/0.3.0 unknown HP C1537A
make_tape_recovery ends by saying :
ERROR: Tape destination /dev/rmt/0mn is not found on the system. No such file
or directory (errno = 2)
ERROR: Check tape device failed.
What shall I do ?
Thanks,
Ced.

Re: tape reader not recognized
Hi there.
Have you checked your cabling ( inlcuding termination on device or active terminator on end of cable or cables themselves ) ?
As long as your device is unknown and not CLAIMED, you won't have any success with ignite tape.
