cpu usage= 100%

i have a new Pentum 4 2.4. 256 DDR .
my cpu sometimes riches 100% and stays for some minutes. the process with take most of the % is could EXPLORER (not iEXPORER).
i dont have a virus and i have a firewall.
what can it be?

Try going through the Windows Explorer settings and make it a SEPARATE PROCESS


if you go into folder options, under the view tab in the advanced section there is a check box that says launch folder windows in a seperate process.
