Exchange mirroring
Hello,
We have a server running our MS Exchange database (mails, contact, ...).
We would like to secure this database, and if possible implement mirroring solution.
Abother solution we investigate was to make an image of the exchange database on a DVD.
Unfortunately, we did not succeded to restore (import) this database on the new server we used for the test.
Any advices are welcome,
Thanks,
Erick

Re: Exchange mirroring
If you want an online mirroring system with failover support you could checkout this software:
http://www.sunbelt-software.com/product.cfm?id=111
Pro's
1) It works from the tests we've done
Con's
1) Exchange mirroring is more involved than a normal fileserver.
2) You need a good network in place due to the replication traffic
3) If you need to reboot the Exchange Server then replication has to start again for the information store which can take a while if you have a large information store. See point 2.
