need modem driver
I upgraded HP Pav 8562 from 98 to XP and the modem does not work. Need help to find a new modem. I tried several downloads on HPs site but they don't work. It's a PCI simple communications modem. I think Rockwell/ riptide / conextant might be the name of the company now. THANKS

Re: need modem driver
Hi,
you might try:
http://www.modem-drivers.com/drivers/52/52802.htm
http://www.modem-drivers.com/companies/456.htm
Otherwise there are creative suggestions in newsgroups on what to do with this card... including (but not limited to):
* recycle it at your dealer to avoid adding to the landfills
* quote from newsgroup "Seriously, I think melting it down is too good for the thing. I would
suggest hanging strings and little bells off of it and giving it to cats to
play with. Although just handing it to a dog to bury comes to mind too." :o)
Cheers,
Rune
