Problem while creating login name in active directory.
Hi guys!
I can't create user-ids for Exchange server above 20 characters. For ex., for chandrasekar.krishnamoorthy, it is coming only upto chandrasekar.krishna.
Please have a look at the attached file.
Can we increase the length of the user logon name to 25 characters or more.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Problem while creating login name in active directory.
Hi Thiyagu,
I must say, I wouldnt fancy typing in 25 characters for my username, but...
I dont know if this helps:

Regards,
Gary

Re: Problem while creating login name in active directory.
It is the pre-Windows 2000 username that cannot be longer. 20 characters is the max username in NT 4.0 and probably Exchange 5.5 since it is also "pre-Windows 2000".
I think this is hardcoded.
For Windows 2000/2003 you can use the whole
[email protected]
as your login name.
Cheers,
Rune
