Spool32 errors W98
I am getting Spool32 errors (W98SE)after a failed install of Laserjet 1300 driver software. The printer shows up in the printer control panel but not in ADD/Remove programs. Right clicking the 1300 icon in "printers" causes a Spool32 error. It also is affecting IE 6.0. Again Spool32 and shuts IE down.
I have replaced the Spool32 dll file with the original and with a later version from Windows ME.
I have tried other fixes found in MS knowledge Base. Q191949 doesn't work because I get the error as soon as I right click on the 1300 icon.
Any ideas??

Re: Spool32 errors W98
Don,
I found out that some printers are requiring the specific install-procedure detailed below.
1-Light on the printer.
2-Start the computer.
3-Let Windows "discover" a new device.
4-Insert the Install CD for the printer.
5-Guide windows to the disk and folder where that driver stands.
Worth trying anyway.
