SQL 2000 SP2 and Analysis services

Anyone know why we would receive an "Access is Denied" when attempting to use a "Linked Server" instance? Seems when I attempt to view the table or view, I receive the access error.

If this is for an AdHoc report, DisallowAdHocAccess may have been set.
