when I setup sql7 client in win98se, there is an error message appear "Installation of the MDAC package failed(2)".
This case won't happen if I install it in XP or W2K. Could you give me a hand solve this problem .
Thanks

Re: sql7 client for win98se
Check under C:\Windows for a file named Sqlstp.log. This file will give you detailed information on what the install was doing at the time.
Also check for any log files under MSSQL7\Log and the Cnfgsvr.out file in the MSSQL7\Install directory.
