to show data source in the same folder

i am legal practioner. i am creating data source in each folder having several files of template suit: every time i copy template folder for another suit i have to show data source for every file for data in the same folder: can it be changed default source to own folder? i am sending files in one template folder how i have linked the data source in mailmerge: advise any other application if possible to use group of legal proffesionals, thanks to any one can solve my problem. it is very important to our legal practise
