BL45p doesn't start after adding processors
Twin-processor server ProLiant BL45p G1 ceased to boot after installation of two additional processors.
All leds are green/blinking (absolutely like in adjacent server I didn't mess with), server power status is ON, but iLO doesn't list new processors in Server Status, Remote Console says something about unsupported text mode, and server doesn't respond.
After removal of newly installed processors server boots as usual.
All four processors are identical (and working) AMD Opteron Model 852 2.6 GHz/1M (390603-B21).
I've already upgraded iLO and BIOS to latest versions. Nothing changed...
Please, HELP!!!

Re: BL45p doesn't start after adding processors
I verified they are compatible
390603-B21 AMD Opteron â Hâ 852 2.62GHz single core processor (68W microprocessor, 940 pin FPGA) - Includes heatsink
lets try
swap them around sounds looks like stepping issue
if possible try two cpus from another blade too
enjoy :)
This is how we thank in the forum

Re: BL45p doesn't start after adding processors
there may be a dependency between aditional processord and memory configuration ?
