Re: bl45p will not boot
The power convertor is on the blade itself, right at the back of the blade. It has a small heatsink on it.
You can also check here:
http://bizsupport2.austin.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/c00300504/c00300504.pdf
I managed to find a video telling you how to replace it. This will show you where it is:
http://h20464.www2.hp.com/resultsCSR.htm?prodSeriesId=429103&MEID=A07254E7-615C-4CC0-B31B-0DF5A74F0E01
It's called a "DC filter module".

Re: bl45p will not boot
Please assign points to your answers to reward the people who take the time to assist others.
I'm in Australia as well and I use a 3rd party company for the support on my blades. HP just never seem to have parts in stock and i needed to have MAX uptime on the servers. We've found with their service we don't have a need for a "redundant" server for all but 1 of our servers. They're a bit more expensive than HP carepack if you buy it with the server, but they don't get more expensive when it get's older. I've still got an proliant 1850R covered with them (it has to be 10 years old).
Let me know if you'd like details.
