Re: BL465c G7
Hope you are following the memory configuration rules as per quickspecs
http://h18004.www1.hp.com/products/quickspecs/13654_div/13654_div.html#Memory
how many processors are there and how exactly are you populating memory modules.
if everything is fine as per configuration guide...
update the system bios
Swap the processor and then check.
thanks,
Aftab

Re: BL465c G7
Hi,
i use 8Gb PC3-10600 DIMMs dual Rank on all 16 dimm slot, populating CPU 1 DIMM first and then CPU 2 DIMM.
I have 2 CPU on the blade.
The configurator tell me it is ok with tha configuration. (16x8)
In my opinion, that Blades are new and we are facing some new probleme.

Re: BL465c G7
run the DDR3 Memory Configuration Tool from HP.com again to check the configuration
I have strong feeling that one of the memory dimm causing this.. could be combination
update the system bios and try populating memory in pair processor wise... and check
thanks
Aftab

Re: BL465c G7
do you have any update for us..?
few things that you can check:
select Minimum Processor Idle Power State in BIOS
1.Verify that the system BIOS is at the latest release (this assures that the latest MRC is loaded).
2.In RBSU, select: Power Management Options.
3.Choose Minimum Processor Idle Power State.
4.Choose No C-states
Check other options related to CPU power and performance and check
Check the assembly part no and spare part no of all the memory dimms.. are they same?
thanks
Aftab

Re: BL465c G7
Bios Firmware is 2010.09.30 15 Oct 2010
I have played with all the power option on the Blade Bios with the same result.
The spare number of memory are all the same and supported by that server if we can trust the quickspecs and the DDR3 configurator.
If one of you can try to populate all the DIMM slot with 8Gb memory and give some feedback.

Re: BL465c G7
Your config is OK, you can't go wrong if you're populating all slots ;)
When you say you tested the motherboard on another server... did you test it fully populated as well?

Re: BL465c G7
If this issue is still ongoing, can you share the part number of memory module and also the complete serial number from the memory module.
Serial number would be like A493C1Y90BU1-BU9P1 1234
Thanks.

there are some issues with specific 8 GB memory modules. however, your memory looks OK
information shared is it identical on all the memory module..?
Also check whether it is made in China...
You have latest Bios..what is ILO firmware?
