Blade networking components

Im having a hard time understanding the c3000 blade chasis. Its my first time with blade server and when looking in the manual in the network section, it states onboard nic slot 1 and 2 is for bay 1. With it comes with either n, n+8, or n+12.

Looking forward for help in this forum.

Thank you

Re: Blade networking components

This means a half height blade in slot 1 (n=1) connects to port 1 and 9 in interconnect bay 1. A full height blade connects to ports 1,5,9,13. (n,n+4,n+8,n+12).

You can also connect to the OA GUI, select the server and click on "port mapping"

(picture is showing a C7000 enclosure).

Hope this helps!
