Connect c-Class GbE2c Switch to core switch
Hi,
I need to connect a GbE2c Switch with 2 VLANs to a core switch with the same 2 VLANs. I have assigned the corresponding VLAN IDs to the downlinks. Also I have assigned the VLAN IDs to the uplinks that connect with the core switch and on the corresponding ports of the core switch.
I think that it is all that I need to do to connect the switches, but It does not go well. The machines of one VLAN connect OK but the other VLAN not.
Have I to do something more?
Thanks.
Raul

Re: Connect c-Class GbE2c Switch to core switch
Are you using Nortel Switches out of the enclosure? Are you using 1 cable for each vlan? regular access ports? No tagging? if so, yes, that should work.

Re: Connect c-Class GbE2c Switch to core switch
Hi,
I use 1 cable per VLAN.
The problem was that I use one Spanning Tree group for both VLANs. When a port was in forwarding stp state the other is blocking.
I have solved the problem creating a Spanning Tree group for each VLAN.
Thanks.
Raúl
