HP Virtual Connect Manager Ethernet network problem, one nic connection unable to ping gateway.
Hi All
I encounter problem when I configure hp c7000 enclosure virtual connect manager.
I have 3 network connection as below
- MGMT = interconnect Bay 1 x5 / Bay 2 x5
- All_Prod= interconnect Bay 1 x6 / Bay 2 x6
- DMZ= interconnect Bay 1 x7 / Bay 2 x7
Blade Proliant BL660c install with VMware vsphere as VMware host.
Server profile
- LOM1:1a MGMT
- LOM1:2a MGMT
- LOM1:1c All_Prod
- LOM1:2C All_Prod
- LOM1:1d DMZ
- LOM1:2d DMZ
I have a VM client server with window Server 2012 with 2 Nic. Below are my problem.
Nic 1 = VLAN01 (All_Prod)
- Failed to ping gateway
Nic 2 = VLAN10 (DMZ)
- Able to ping gateway successful
If I use my own notebook plug into the physical switch port and hardcode my notebook tcp/ip setting to DMZ IP address, I am able to ping default gateway.
Can anyone advise what went wrong on my configuration.
Thank you
Jazz

Is All_Prod multiple VLANs?
Have you setup VLAN tagging correctly on the blade?
