Hello Community,

Re: HPE Smart Array P204i-b Controller new drivers

Dear  flexman

Please update full firmware package by using SPP. while botting Service pack for HPE ProLiant Gen10 and 10 Plus, choose intractive mode and install all firmware, drivers, and HPE tools. genaraly your issue might be resolved by only installing AMS tools. thou I suggest for update full firmware package, cause all dependent tools and drivers update to latest.

Hope, I could provide you with clear and helpful instructions. If you have any more questions or need further assistance, don't hesitate to ask. I'm here to help!

Have a great day!!

Re: HPE Smart Array P204i-b Controller new drivers

I ran into the same issue and found two ways to fix it:

  1. The easy way. Downgrade iLO to version 3.01 or earlier. HPE changed the iLO protocols, which is why it no longer works correctly with older RAID firmware. To actually fix the problem you need RAID controller firmware version 5.00 or higher — but HPE only officially supports 4.11 for the P204i-b.
  2. The hard way. Manually update the RAID controller to a version newer than 4.11. This is possible, but HPE does not officially support it, so you do it at your own risk.

I’d recommend the first option.
