OA Speed

OA Speed

We have some enclosures from 2007 which we need to connect to a new Nexus switch, the switch can not run at a speed lower than 1GB. When we plugged the OA's into the switch the ports would not come online. Does anyone know if there is a software\firmware upgrade which can be performed on the OA's to enable them to run at this speed?

Re: OA Speed

I can see no reference to OA Network speed issues fixed or modified by Firmware 2.60 (latest)or 2.52 (your version)

Re: OA Speed

OA NIC is 100/10MB only as its a 100/10MB chip.
There would need to be a different OA part to be 1GB. I dont know of one comming.

Re: OA Speed

Thanks Adrian,

The new enclosures we have just implemented are running fine at 1GB, it's only the older enclosures which arent connecting at that speed. According to the HP documention the enclosures should be able to run at 1GB, please see this link http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/c00705292/c00705292.pdf page 22

Re: OA Speed

Sorry I was mixing myself up with the iLO2 speed. That is staying at 100Mb.

There are two OAs, the new one is the one with the VGA connector, as seen in the doc you mention.
The older one has no VGA connector and I'm sure only works at 10/100.
