Onboard Administrator (OA) browser / java / .net recipe
Denny had a customer question:
**************
A customer has had issue’s coming up with a recommended combination of web browser version / java and/or .net that will allow them to mount ISO’s for installation via the OA. They manage a blade fleet ranging from G6, G7 thru Gen8.
Likely the answer(s) are documented but where?

Reply from Todor:
When mounting ISOs for installation via the OA, you’re practically using the OA Enclosure DVD/FW Mgmt feature, which is on it’s terms using the individual blades’ iLO Virtual Media.
So in order to be able to come up with a working combination between all those, it would be a good idea to check with the individual ILO User Guides, depending on the version used.
e.g. for Gen8/iLO4:

Page 195 - .NET IRC Requirements
Page 196 – Java IRC Requirements
Same should be checked for iLO2 (G6) and iLO3 (G7).
In those guides you can also see that recommended/supported combination between iLO Firmware and Web Browser version (e.g. iLO4 User guide – Page 144 – Browser support).
Hope this helps!
Also help from Hoa:
You can mount ISO, BIN, CFG, etc. on USB Key as early as OA 2.32 (Jan 2009). Details on supported Browsers, Java, etc. refer specific OA Release Notes and OA User Guide.
