Virtual Connect FlexFabric module question
Vinay had a Virtual Connect FlexFabric module question:
**********************
Hi All,
Below is my client scenario:
1 C7000 Enclosure
11 Half Height Blade ‘BL460C’ with ‘BLc NC551m DP FlexFabric’ Adapter
I have only two ‘BLc VC FlexFabric 10Gb/24-port Opt’ interconnect adapter.
I am planning to install ‘VC FlexFabric 10Gb’ Interconnect adapter on Bay 3 and 4, please let me know if Bay 1 and Bay 2 can be left blank?

Phoebe had the answer:

Hi,Vinay
Yes, You can install HP Virtual Connect FlexFabric 10Gb/24-port Module for c-Class BladeSystem into c7000's Bay 3 and 4 while left Bay 1 and Bay 2 blank via below guide.
[HP Virtual Connect for c-Class BladeSystem Setup and Installation Guide]

41page
[Bay 1] Other/empty [Bay 2] Other/empty
[Bay 3] VC Ethernet* [Bay 4] VC Ethernet
[Bay 5] Other/empty [Bay 6] Other/empty
[Bay 7] Other/empty [Bay 8] Other/empty
*Requires minimum VC v3.10 firmware
And I think you already know HP VC FlexFabric 10Gb/24-port Module is supported from VC v3.15 firmware.
