virtual connect/MDS switch migration

Hi all, we have a C7000 enclosure with 2 VC 4Gb FC modules. Currently, they are connected to MDS9216 fabric switches with no problem. We have mirrored the port setup on new MDS 9148 switches. However, when I move the connection over, I am having some issues. The port comes up on the switch side but I get INIT-FAILURE on the HP/VC side. Is there additional configuration required on the C7000 enclosure/VC setup?

Check that NPIV is enabled on the new ports.

turns out the 9148 is not support by the modules we have but i was having a problem with a 9216 as well and NPIV was the missing piece. Thanks.
