VirtualConnect - Aggregate/LACP
Hi all. I'm attempting to setup an aggregate link utilizing:
Bay 1: Port 3
Bay 1: Port 6
Bay 2: Port 3
Bay 2: Port 6
Bay 3: Port 3
Bay 3: Port 6
Bay 4: Port 3
Bay 4: Port 6
I've followed the instructions in the VirtualConnect User Guide on configuring my Cisco Catalyst 6500 (IOS) yet I only appear to get 2 links active in the agreggate group (Bay 4: Port 3 and Bay 4: Port 6). All other ports are shown as standby.
Any ideas why I can't get all 8 ports to go active? A screenshot is attached of the configuration (possible proprietary information blacked out -- my apologies).
Thanks.

Re: VirtualConnect - Aggregate/LACP
You cannot configure a single LACP channel to 2 different VC modules. LACP doesn't allow this. You need 4 channels for your setup.

Re: VirtualConnect - Aggregate/LACP
So basically unless I put all 8 links on a single VC module I can't have them all actively aggregated?
