2710 Printing Problem and Software Problem...
When ever I try to print a page the printer locks up and always says printing... with the little page printing out on the LCD. It never completes it. The printer queue shows 2 documents the actual document its trying to print with a wrong page count. 1 page turns into something like 4/1 which makes no sense. Then it has the following job in the queue, the same thing with a page count of N/A. Then when I restart the printer prints out jiberish in the form of a bar gragh looking thing.
Another problem is that everytime I start my computer the printer software says you have just installed HP Image software you must remove this software by putting in the original disc and following the instructions. I HAVE DONE THAT 5 TIMES!
IS THIS PRINTER JUNK OR IS IT JUST THE SOFTWARE?
MY MACHINE:
WINDOWS XP PRO SP2
512 MB Hyper X
3200+ AMD 64
160 GB WD 7200 RPM HD
10/100 Ethernet Connection to a WIRELESS router.
2710 FROM HELL:
Connected via wireless to a BELKIN wireless G router.
Using WPA.
I can access the printer fine even when stuck in its horrible print mode. I just go to http://192.168.2.3 and it shows the printer working fine :(
PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF THIS IS FIXABLE OR IF I SHOULD DROP KICK THIS JUNK AND NEVER BUY/SELL ANOTHER HP PRODUCT AGAIN!
CONNECTION IS VERY GOOD.
