cannot detect wireless network
I have a Pavilion DV2312us and my wireless adapter stopped detecting my home wireless network after it came back from repair. Other computers in my house can detect my network, but my computer can't. It's a Broadcom 802.11 b/g WLAN.
The adapter is turned on (I get a blue light) and I can see the device in Device Manager, but it seems like there is an invisible problem that doesn't let me connect. I even reinstalled Vista, and the problem remains.
I tried opening the wireless card compartment, removed it, put it back in, and the problem remain. Also, the card is missing one screw, but I don't think that has anything to do with the problem. I have also reinstalled the wireless adapter several times, and the problem persists.

Re: cannot detect wireless network
I installed that wireless utility, but it doesn't seem to work. Probably because it's not for vista.
I noticed that every time I turn on the wireless card after it has been off for a while, it detects the wireless network, but soon stops detecting. I really need help resolving this issue.

Re: cannot detect wireless network
I've been having the same problem for over a month as well. Reinstall the bios from HP's website. After restarting, you should be able to see and connect to the network. Here is the link to the bios for our laptop model...

I was able to figure this out by finding this post...
