Cannot maintain wireless connection

I can connect my Compaq dc5700 Microtower PC's to the wireless network when logged in as administrator but when I log in as a user it will not pick up the network or it will let me log in but then I do not pick up shared drives. It is not the netgear wireless adapter as I have other makes of PC using the same adapter that are not giving me any problems. It is almost as if it is not connecting in the right order as it is showing very strong wireless connection once logged in. I seem to have this problem with other HP machines to.
