DV6000 wireless problem, without video problem
I had this problem too, and looking for this pleblem on internet i found the solution for me. I have a DV6356EA note, and the problem is relationed with NF430-N-A3 chip sided by wireless card. A project problem cause a overheating of this component dessoldering some bga contacts. The solution for this problem is: ressolder the chip with a bga rework station or smd solder station (sometimes it`s enough), or dessolder older chip and solder another. I bought a new chip on Ciudad del Leste/PY US$14.00. This solution resolved my problem. Thanks. For fotos from this solution, email me,

Re: DV6000 wireless problem, without video problem
Check this: http://tinyurl.com/2jxruy
for a list of many symptoms caused by motherboard failure, and laptops affected -- my fury is that altho my model number (dv9000) is covered, only certain pruduct numbers under dv9000 are included, and mine is not one of them! The problem is the motherboard, and the symptoms include loss of bootup, VERY slow bootup, WiFi stops working, etc. Send me an email at john (at) johnfrench.org if you have the symptoms but are not covered by their extension plan. If we join together we can stop their refusal to fix their machines. I spent hours with their call center and all they kept saying (politely, of course) is that my product number is not covered. The repair with shipping is well over $500 and it is because of their crappy motherboards!
