Failed wireless connection

I've had my router changed to a Belkin 54g and my iPAQ 5550 says it's unable to connect although it recognises it's presence. Previously I had a D-link router and there was no problem at all.

Can anyone help?

Re: Failed wireless connection

Steve loot at this cross table about NIC and router speed/duplex:

Workstation <-> Switch ------> Result
-----------------------------------------
Forced Half <-> Forced Half -> Works
Forced Full <-> Forced Full -> Works
Auto <--------> Auto --------> Maybe
Forced Full <-> Auto --------> NO
Auto <--------> Forced Full -> NO
Forced Half <-> Forced Full -> NO
Forced Full <-> Forced Half -> NO

Re: Failed wireless connection

Thanks Antoniov but you'll have to walk me through this one and treat me as a novice! Where do I go to look this information up?

Re: Failed wireless connection

Hi Steve,
for PC NIC it very simple.
If you have Win9x
Right click on MyNetwork, click on property, click on network card, property; you could see a parameter usually set as auto; clicking on it you can choice among Auto, 10Mbs HD, 10Mbs FD, 100 HD, 100 FD, etc.
If you have Win2k or xp
Right click on MyNetwork, click on network connection, property, click on network card, property and same as win9x.
To see router configuration you have to read your documentation, because every device works in its own mode. I guess you have installed some software on PC to see and change any configuration of router.
