load balancing

I have Proliant 1600 (Netware5+sp6a) server with two network adapters:
- cpQNF3 (built - in)
- 3Ñ 980 (PCI)
As to me to expand the channel server - switch (3com switch 3300)having realized balance of the network traffic between these adapters
(load balancing)
Whether I can use both adapters with one address on TCPIP and in one network IPX.
What means it to make, give the link to utilities and documents please.

Unless the NICs support "teaming", there is no way for you to effectively do load-balancing. The NICs will not be able to evenly distribute the load between themselves.
