nc6000 notebook

I downloaded Internet Explorer 8. Now I canno't connect to a network, and also my wirless network is not working on the computer also. I am getting a message of, Canno't connect to Internet Explorer. And when I go to connections, it does not have a wireless network icon to click on. Please help me solve this problem. Thanks!
