Problems with CP-2W
I've got Windows XP Home on a Presario 725 and a CP-2W AP connected directly to the Toshiba cable modem from RoadRunner in the Houston, TX area.
I'm having a lot of problems lately with intermittant problems on the CP-2W. The problem started about 3 to 4 weeks ago.
Symptoms include occasional page loading errors on web browsers (IE and Opera) and very sluggish SSH sessions including frequent connection errors (in SSH).
I found a reference about a patch to fix problems between XP and the CP-2W but I can't find the actual patch itself.
I have downloaded and installed the most recent firmware to the CP-2W (2.09 I think).
Sometimes I am not even able to pull up the cp.home web pages.
I've had the CP-2W for several months, and it has worked flawlessly up until these problems started (4 to 6 weeks ago, continually getting worse).
Any advice? Anyone else with this problem?
Thanks,
Greg
PS - In fact I just had to go down and power cycle the CP-2W, only the third time I've had to do that. The WAN lights had one bright green and the ACT light was dim green. The Internet and Power lights were both solid green. Strange.

Re: Problems with CP-2W
Th patch is referenced sp19335.exe, you get download page and troubleshooting sepcs here :

Your lights color may also indicate energy supply trouble (I'm not sure, good idea to chek with HP hotline).
Hope this helped.

Re: Problems with CP-2W
According to what I read the blank page problem is supposed to be fixed as of 2.08 firmware. However, I have the 2.09 firmware installed and now I'm having that problem. I did not have that problem when I had 2.03 or 2.01 (don't remember which) prior to the upgrade.
My main problems with the internet connection appear to have been time warner related. They came out and changed the cable between the house and the pole, plus "reset" something in the network on their end (had me pull power on the cable modem) and that has fixed most of problems.
Had great service for 2 days, but now I'm starting to get high latency and connection problems again. :( Good news, at least the network light on the cable modem isn't flashing or going out.
I am now having the blank page problem with the CP2W though.
