Range Extender Antenna

I need to extend the range of a WL400 in a Shop Floor environment where we will deploy more than 15 iPAQs. We have weak signal strength in only one area. It appears the Range Extender Antenna is the only Compaq offering that can help in this area. Yes? The problem is, the Range Extender Antenna has only a 5 foot cable length. Five feet does not bring us close enough to the weak signal area. We need a longer cable. Can Compaq engineer such a cable as a special project? Is there a maximum cable length? What kind of cable is this - coax? Thanks for any help.
