Serial Cable

What kind of serial cable and configuration is needed to connect a PC with a DB-9-port to the DTC with eight DB-25-ports. Also what MPE-IX instructions are necessary for the HP3000 to acknowledge the PC as a terminal.

This is a HP-UX forum for HP 9000 servers.

You take me back to my CE days and I connot remember the actual number of active pins, but most are common thus the market for the db9 to db45 converters. This are a shelf item in many retail stores. In the "old days" we would cut the end off and re-pin to the correct connector.
