Tablet PC wireless LAN won't

When I turn on my Tablet PC, I get the little light flashing to show the PC is scanning for networks. When a network is available, I get a popu notice. All normal.

However, I can't connect. It just doesn't happen - no connection, no matter how many times or different ways I have sought to get a connection, it just doesn't happen.

Anybody have any ideas?

I was having trouble connecting to my home network and found that it was the Preamble setting was set to auto on the Tablet but short on my AP.

After changing the Tablet setting it was all go!

Yes,
I had a similar problem, it turned out that outside Windows XP, I also had to make sure the Q menu had wireless toggled to "Wireless On" status, which is represented when you see "Wireless Off" option on the Q menu.
