W200 cannot acquire Network address
I recently attempted to upgrade my network from WEP to WPA-PSK TKIP. I am experiencing a problem where my Compaq W200 is not acquiring the network address. I have already done the following:
1. Download the latest driver (3708 Nov 04) and installed it.
2. Set up a profile with my AP's SID. Protocol set to WPA and TKIP (since WPA2 or AES does not appear to be an option).
3. My router is a Dlink DI-624 Rev C firmware 2.70. According to the docs, it should support WPA-PSK. I configure it use WPA, PSK, and TKIP.
4. Set up the correct pass phrase on both side.
When I boot up the laptop (a Presario 906us), the router log indicate that the authetication worked. However, I do not see an attempt in the log to lease DHCP.
When I am in WEP mode, I do not have this problem. Has anyone tried WPA with a W200? Can you tell if you have any problems?
