wireless access point 420: config problem
We have recently acquired 2 wireless access point 420.
this is our current configuration.
It is not working.
We run and set it up thru the wizard netsetup.cpl
We disconnect the UTP wire and try to ping the wap device once it says conected.
what am I missing?
I have honestly idea what this radio and radio channel items mean.
AP Wireless Configuration
SSID: DSTwl1
Radio: b&g mixed mode
Radio Status: ENABLED
Auto Channel Select: ENABLED
Radio Channel: 6
Radio Encryption: 64-BIT ENCRYPTION
Radio Authentication: Type OPEN
802.1x DISABLE
thanks and regards.

Re: wireless access point 420: config problem
I have contacted HP support.
They said, I had to upgrade the firmware, which I already did at: http://www.hp.com/rnd/software/wap420_Download3.htm
They also said the problem is at the client end.
I'm not sure and I keep checking.
It is not functioning yet.
regards.

Re: wireless access point 420: config problem
The problem was not at the client side.
We couldn't find a document on how to set up security so we found out ourselves.
