wireless connection
i have been asked by Sky to turn off the encryption so that they can test my lap top connection
how do I do this

hi,
the encryption can be turned off on the wireless router's setup page (if you're using infrastructure) or on the laptop's wireless connection (if on ad-hoc).
for infrastructure, you can refer to the support group of your wireless router manufacturer.
for ad-hoc, be it vista or XP, just go to the network connection options of the control panel. there, when you right click on the wireless connection and get to check the properties, you can check there the properties of the wireless network.
