Wireless Vs Wired
Hi I have a Pavillion 7770 512 ram, MBoard: Asus A7V-VM 1.02, 800 megahertz AMD Duron, Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2 (build 2600) Realtek RTL8139/810x Family fast ethernet NIC
Q. My 7770 is wired to ADSL wireless G-Router. With connection speed of (Data Rate Down/Up 4047Kb/446Kb) I am getting download speed of 2.2 mbps. However when using my laptop (Wireless) I am getting download speed of 3.2 mbps. Why is this? How can I get the wired PC to faster download speeds? And with a 4MB connection speed should my download speed be higher? I have added laptop spec below
FUJITSU SIEMENS AMILO PRO V2055 0.1, 1472 Megabytes Installed Memory, Windows XP Home Edition Service Pack 2 (build 2600 ISP by the way is TalkTalk. Thank you for reading.

Re: Wireless Vs Wired
martin,
check if by wireless the path to the gateway is the same.
Theoretically the internet speed should be the same by either of them.
one more thing, if you can post the real internet speed that you get.
regards,
hugo tigre
