2848-SFP Plus Factory Reset?
I have a 2848-SFP Plus switch that I can't remember the password.
I have looked in the manual on how to do a Factory Reset.
Page 42 of the Manual Says:
"To reset the Switch to factory defaults, click Reset. The Switch LAN IP address will revert to the default IP address 169.254.x.y (using the process described in тАЬAutomatic IP ConfigurationтАЭ on page 29). You may need to restart your computer to re-establish communication with the Switch."
The problem is that I can't get to the webpage to click "Reset" without the admin password. It wants the admin password to be able to get to the System Tools. How can I get to the System Tools page without a password?
Thanks

Re: 2848-SFP Plus Factory Reset?
Hey guys,
I have the exact same problem. Does anybody know an answer?
BTW: Is the blue push-in button on the back a reset button?
greetings

Re: 2848-SFP Plus Factory Reset?
A few months later, I still have no solution for this problem.
Is there no way to factory reset this switch without knowing the admin password?
Thanks for anyone giving suggestions.
