3Com 5500EI broadcast issue

I'm trying to get ip forward-broadcast to work on my 3COM 5500EI in VLAN view. 

According to the documentation, it is suppose to be set both globally and in the VLAN.  The command works fine globally, but not in the VLAN.  However, it works fine on my 3COM 5500G. 

Has anyone else experenced this problem, and if so, what did you do to make it work?

It does seem to be available in the vlan view.  Did you manage to figure anything further out?  I want to use this for WakeOnLan...
