4200G infinite loop

4200G infinite loop

Our 4200G boots then flashes A and reboots (infinte loop) any ideas?

Probably the .app file is corrupted or missing. Try to break the boot sequence using CTRL+B, then check the file system of the switch and check which is the file that is configured to boot. Just to make sure, even if the file is correctly configured try to reassign the .app file that exists in the flash to boot. If does not work, perform an upload with a new .app file.

Thanks. UNfortunatley I can't even break the boot seq It never gets to that point where I can CTRL-B. 



Is there any other way to get the switch to Factory Defaults?  Any idea what  "A" in the display means b4 the reboot?

Randy, I've never seen this before...even in the release notes there is no reference to the unit status display showing the "A". I don't know what could it be...
