4400 reboots randomly
We have some stacks of 4400 that connected to central 8800 box. Some units in the stacks reboots randomly ( approx 1 time per week) without any visible reason.
Usually it's Unit 2 in the stack that consist of 3 units. Other units in the stack can work without any reboots for monthes. All switches have the same latest firmware - 6.13. All switches powered through UPSs. Does anybody know how to solve this problem? I know another customer who also has a lot of 4400s in his network that reboots randomly.

Re: 4400 reboots randomly
Hello !
This problem could be because of some multicast problems in the network.
Please try this :
1) Upgrade your Switch 4400 to Version 6.13 firmware
2) One of your Switch 4400 should be IGMP querier. goto bridge/multicast/IGMP and enable 1 or more of your switches as IGMP querier. This should solve the problem :-)
Best regards Robert

Re: 4400 reboots randomly
Thank you for advise. I made another thing - I disabled multicast filtering on all switches. And it seems to be working good, because we don't have any reboot for 40 days.
