A5900/Comware - MAC disappears after 6 min.
Hey guys,
I have a weird problem that i haven't seen before that i really hope some of you can help me with.
We have 6 IRF stacks in our Datacenter - IRF 2 and 3 is connected to IRF 1 with LACP, but when i connect IRF 4 to IRF 1 as an extend, and permit vLAN 2-4000 between the two IRF stacks then the leaned MAC adresses on IRF 4 disappears after 6 minuts. no matter what i do - it dosn't matter if i use a single (non LACP) link or 10 or 40 G LACP link (keep in mind that it is an extend and the only interfaces there is in use is the two 40G between member 1 and 2 in IRF 4 and 10G between IRF 1 and IRF 4).
The interfaces between IRF 1 and 4 is up all the time - never goes down.
After the 6 min and the MAC´s disappears, i can down and up the 10G interface on IRF 1, and the MAC's is back and gone again after 6 min.
Its only the IRF betwean IRF 1 and 4, the IRF between 1, 2 and 3 is fine and running LACP.
Please help me - i'm going out of my mind :-(

Re: A5900/Comware - MAC disappears after 6 min.
Hi
For switches it takes 5 inactive minutes to flush out a MAC address entry . So the switch is not learning any MAC address during those 6 minutes . Please share the port config on all the uplink and downlink ports . Check if the IRF 4 is joning the IRF 1 stack .
