Afternoon all
We've recently switched to BST (GMT+1) here in the UK.
However I've just spotted that our HP 5820's havent updated their time.
I've had a look at configuring DST rules on the switches, and have found the clock summer-time and clock timezone commands. However I can't make out the correct syntax for them atm...
Any pointers on how to configure them correctly?
Cheers
Gavin

Re: BST on HP 5820...
Hi,
This is what I use for Western Europe:
clock timezone GMT+1 add 01:00:00
clock summer-time WE repeating 02:00:00 2011 March last Sunday 03:00:00 2011 October last Sunday 01:00:00
Best regards,Peter

SolutionPeter
Cheers for that.
However running the commands below appeared to add an additional hour to the current time...
So tweaked it to:
clock timezone GMT add 00:00:00 clock summer-time BST repeating 02:00:00 2011 March last Sunday 03:00:00 2011 October last Sunday 01:00:00
Time looks better now :)
dis clock 09:55:33 BST Wed 04/17/2013 Time Zone : GMT add 00:00:00 Summer-Time : BST repeating 02:00:00 2011 March last Sunday 03:00:00 2011 October last Sunday 01:00:00
Cheers
Gavin

Re: BST on HP 5820...
I see what you mean.
The timezone command is actually the base timezone, so the summertime will add an additional hour to your base timezone.
So my config was based on majority of WesternEurope being in base timezone GMT+1 (did not intend to exclude the UK from WesternEurope :) )
Glad to hear it worked !
