Comware to Virtual Connect span port issue
HI All,
I'm trying to monitoring five c7000 chassis via our comware TOR switches. The problem is the monitor node is a physical blade within one of the downstram C7000 chassis. At this point I"m not 100% sure if it's a Comware or VC issue.
The issue:
We can see full packets going External IN (to the chassis) on our monitor node
We can't see any packets going from Internal OUT (from the Chassis) on our monitor node
Please see the degram below which shows our current issue
Any help on this issue I can get would be great
REgards, Daniel

Re: Comware to Virtual Connect span port issue
Not enough of experience of your situation but make sure that your VC's dont perform internal switching that is all traffic is being pushed to your 5900 and then you should be able to fully wiretap traffic to/from a particular physical bladeserver.
Same goes by the way if you got some kind of vswitch running with the bladeserver.

Re: Comware to Virtual Connect span port issue
What about setting up a GRE tunnel between the 5900 switch and the blade server ?
Does Comware allow span port data over a GRE tunnel ?
