Console connects to 3Com SuperStack 3 Switch 3300
Is there any method to obtain the IP Address for the switch or hard reset it to factory default setting?
Thank you very much!

Re: Console connects to 3Com SuperStack 3 Switch 3300
Hi,
by the default, all 3com switches is dhcp enabled, you can patch a pc w/ dhcp server enabled service, then, to find out what ip the swith get, you can use the Look@LAN software, it is free, so you can use it., look hard? you can use the console cable of any old network equipment, or if you have a old cisco, there's a adaptor included plus the roll-over or the console cable, the white blue one, once accessed via console, you can use the default password, admin then enter, if you can't access using admin, you can also use manager manager, worst, you can factory default it, type, recover then passwd, recover, then, before the 30 mins end, you need to power cycle the switch, once done, you will ask for the new password, don't forget to enable again the password recovery features
