How-to: SuperStack 4400 Password Reset?

Good day.

I have a SuperStack3 4400 (3C17204) switch with unknown admin password. Is there a way to reset it to factory defaults? The only solution I've found is recover/recover to reset admin password and it's not worked (says Incorrect password). Is there another way like '3comcso' login for 3300 series?

You will have to console in, user recovery, password recovery, this will place you in recovery mode for 30 seconds within which you need to power it off by pulling the plug off. Switch it on and you should be able to configure a new password
