HP SPF+ module for A5500

Does module HP 2-Port 10-GbE SFP+ A5500/E4800/E4500 (JD368B) supports for example GBIC 1GbE SFP SX (HP X125 1G SFP LC SX Transceiver)?

The Transceiver it will be working on SFP+ ports?

Hi,

AFAIK the 2-port 10GbE SFP+ modules only support 10GbE SFP+ and not 1G SFP. The fixed ports on 58XX does however.

Do you have some documents where I find more details?

By the way, I'm looking for a switch which has the same parametres as Cisco Catalyst 2960S (Catalyst 2960S 48 GigE, 2 x 10G SFP+ LAN Base - WS-C2960S-48TD-L ).

The replacement  device must fit some criteria as Private VLAN, has free management application (Cisco Network Asaistant) and the 10GbE ports mention above.

I would look at the A5120 which is pretty in par with the 2960S. Dont think you'll find a free management application though.
