HP5920 Web Interface
Hi
I am new to HP devices and therefor new to this forum. I am looking for the full commands to enable and set login credentials for the web interface on the HP5920 switch.
I have searched the web but only managed to find how to enable the web gui which I've done but am unable to login to it.
Thank you in anticipation.

Re: HP5920 Web Interface
try this

Re: HP5920 Web Interface
Hi Borislav
I have managed to login to the web interface now. Many many thanks.
I have just 3 more questions;
1. If I reset the password on the CLI login does this also change the web interface login or is this a seperate password?
2. How do you view the login password aging time in the CLI?
3. I know this is all down to experience but does HP actually publish all this information because I could not find it anywhere.
Thank you once again.

Re: HP5920 Web Interface
1. If I reset the password on the CLI login does this also change the web interface login or is this a seperate password?
- you'll be reseting the password based on the username, not for a CLI or WEB
2. How do you view the login password aging time in the CLI?
- I'm not quite sure what you are will to do with password aging, but I'll strongly advise agains it - unless you have set the date and time correctly and you are sure what you are doing. However you may consult with the "R23xx-HP 5920 & 5900 Security Configuration Guide" (see below)
3. I know this is all down to experience but does HP actually publish all this information because I could not find it anywhere.
- Of course HPE does it, but I have to admit, might be a change to find what you are looking for through google, although to be fair, it is getting better lately.
Go to: https://www.hpe.com/us/en/support.html and select = > My Networking Portal => search for e.g. 5920 => select the Switch from the list and then [Show selected items] on the bottom right you'll get a list with only useful links about this product. => click on Support center (For manuals, FAQs, etc.) and you'll find in the [Manuals] tab all the documents HPE has published about this product.

Re: HP5920 Web Interface
Hi
Currently the password aging is set to 365 days but I want to remove this, so password aging is disabled.
Thank you
