HPE 12910 and software release R1150
Our client asks for the ability to software upgrade from version 1032 to version 1150.
They use HPE 12910 (PN: JG619A) with:
- HPE 12910 3.84 Tbps Type B Fabric Module (PN: JG623A)
- HPE 12910 Main Processing Unit (JG621A)
- HPE 12900 16p 40GbE QSFP EA Module (PN: JG625A)
- HPE 12900 48p 10GbE SFP+ EA Module (PN: JG624A)
- HPE 12900 48p GbE SFP + EB Module (PN: JG855A)
In the documentation for the software version 1150 is information, it isnтАЩt possible to install this software on the modules EA and EB.
Is it true?
Is there a way to do it?

Re: HPE 12910 and software release R1150
Yes, it's true.
HPE FlexFabric 12900 Switch series R1150 Release Notes is self explanatory and clear about that:
The software version (R1150) does not support E-series LPUs (EA, EB, or EC, for example), E-series LPUs should use 12900 R10xx series software version.
See:
Apparently the only practical option you have is to upgrade from R1032 to R1032P03 (October 2015), see:

Re: HPE 12910 and software release R1150
Thank You for informations
But the problem is that the customer wants to use RRPP. I don't find any informations about RRPP in documentation to software R1032.
Is it any possibility to use RRPP on software R1032?

Re: HPE 12910 and software release R1150
AFAIK it looks like the RRPP feature was released as one of the new High Availability features (see Release Notes of R1150) since the release of R1150 software version.
So RRPP feature is not available on R11 releases other than the latest R1150 and, generally, on R10 releases.

Re: HPE 12910 and software release R1150
I would suggest that the customer discuss this with their account team to see if they can come up with a reasonable way to replace the E modules with something newer so that they can get to R1150 and the newer high availability features.
